The History of Phil’s Catering Service.
Gary created Phil’s Catering service on the Central Coast of California in 1986 at the age of 27. The business was named “Phil’s” after Gary’s father Philbert “Phil” Vierra.
Phil’s Catering was established on the Central Coast in 1986. Our founder, Gary Vierra, named the business after his father Philbert “Phil” Vierra. Today, Phil’s Catering is still a family business, run by Gary’s wife Cathy Vierra and daughter Brittney
The 1986 catering menu was based around the Santa Maria style BBQ fare and over 30 years later it still remains a Central Coast favorite! While we are experts in the Santa Maria style BBQ, our menu boasts many diverse menu options. We greatly enjoy preparing our themed menus as well, especially the Hawaiian Luau. We have no doubt that we can create a custom menu that will please any crowd.
From small and intimate, to large and elaborate, Phil’s Catering as a full service catering company can provide excellent, professional service for any event. As the longest established and largest catering company, we can provide all the services you need. Our experienced banquet managers will work closely with you, your coordinator, and the venue site contact to ensure that every detail will be taken care of. To better serve our clients, we also provide rentals and/or rental consultation so every item needed is covered.
We serve San Luis Obispo, Paso Robles, Atascadero, Arroyo Grande, Nipomo, Templeton, Creston, and beyond. We work closely with many of the local venues to create memorable, custom events for all of our couples.
